How to unlock developer option and become an Android Developer!

What is Developer Options and why you should enable developer options?

Cleaverly hidden inside the settings is the developer options that conatain lots of advanced features intended principally for android developers – people who need extra functions which gives more power,functions and tweaks through various options. It allow users to enable debugging over USB, capture bug reports on to the Android device,show CPU usage on screen to measure the impact of a particular application, show layout bounds, GPU informations and options to choose GPU rendering profiles, controlling background process limit  to increase your device performance and much more.

Step by step guide on how to UNLOCK/ENABLE DEVELOPER OPTIONS and become an Android Developer!

STEP 1

Open system settings.

Step 2

Scroll down and look for ‘About Phone’ and tap once.

STEP 3

In the lists of ‘About Phone’, scroll down to the bottom and tap ‘Build number’ 7 times repeatedly. You’re now a Developer! 🙂

You can now access Developer Options by opening Settings>Developer Options..

How to Enable Developer Options for Sony, Samsung Galaxy, LG, HTC, Xiaomi Redmi?

Sony Android: Settings > About phone > Build number Tap 7 times to enable Developer Options.

Samsung Galaxy: Settings > About device > Build number Tap 7 times to enable Developer Options.

LG: Settings > About phone > Software information > Build number Tap 7 times to enable Developer Options.

HTC: Settings > About > Software information > More > Build number Tap 7 times to enable Developer Options.

Xiaomi: Settings > About phone > Tap on “MIUI version” 7 times to enable Developer Options. (Once enabled, to access Developer Options in Xiaomi:> Settings> Additional settings> Developer options)

How to remove/disable developer options in android?

To remove or disable developer options in android, go to Settings> Apps> Settings and tap on Clear Data.
If this doesn’t hide the developer options, you’ll need to perform a factory reset found inside ‘Settings> Backup and Reset‘.
